Product Specification & Packaging Technologist
We are looking for a Product Specification & Packaging Technologist to join our busy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the relevant customer portals and customer systems, pre-launch and launch paperwork and artwork checks, along with packaging design and implementation.
Duties include:
1) Managing launch critical path, ensuring all deadlines are hit and to the required standard
2) Completing customer specifications using various online portals and in-house systems dependent on customer
3) Completing and updating Product Files in-line with BRC and our NPD process
4) Organising / requesting Brandbank photography samples, ensuring they are sent on time and manage the approval process
5) Liaising with NPD & customers as early as possible to establish requirements / specification, ensuring compatibility with our production processes
6) Contacting / meeting with suppliers as appropriate throughout the design process
7) Organising the creation of cutter guides, checking they are correct before issuing them on to the design agencies and ensure they are saved to the appropriate files internally
8) Managing FTP calculations and communication
9) Organising all packaging samples needed for pre-launch tasks e.g. customer requests, design agency requests, transit trials
10) Completing customer Primary Packaging and SRP information forms, print spec request forms
11) Packaging Innovation. Looking out for new packaging concepts. With focus on environmentally friendly / recyclable / closed loop materials and reduced weight. Attending packaging webinars & trade shows
SECTION LEADER – PRODUCTION & WAREHOUSE
We are looking for enthusiastic section leaders to join our busy and growing team. This role will include supporting the Shift Leaders and Production Manager to develop a positive culture and implement Lean manufacturing principles.
We have three areas as part of our production: bakery, high care and low care / stores. Each area will have their own section leader to support and direct the team members to complete their daily tasks, ensure training and development opportunities are met and daily huddles are productive and include opportunities for employee voice. It is essential that all section leaders will be able to work in all departments and will become – with training – advocates for business.
This is a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern role, working 7am to 7pm.
