PURCHASING / SUPPLY CHAIN ASSISTANT

Working within the Purchasing and Supply Chain team and reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Purchasing / Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for liaising with suppliers, placing orders and coordinating deliveries in line with production requirements. Supporting the Procurement Manager by keeping databases and documents up to date and reporting against set KPI’s. The role will involve cross-departmental involvement so people skills are a must. Good knowledge of all Microsoft Applications especially Excel, plus organisational and time-management skills will be required.

PRODUCTION / WAREHOUSE SECTION LEADERS

As part of our ongoing restructure, we are now looking for section leaders to work with the shift leaders and production manager to support and develop the teams in each of the production areas.

The role will include:

• Supporting your section’s team members to complete their tasks whilst following standard processes.
• Providing training and coaching to your team members so that they can perform their tasks consistently with due regard for safety, quality and efficiency.
• Providing feedback and encouragement to your team members and to raise issues of concern with your shift leaders to bring about positive change to grow your team’s skill and aptitude.
• Taking responsibility for the accuracy of your section’s daily plans.
• Working with the team to ensure daily plans are completed with equal regard to quality and quantity.
• Ensuring cleaning schedules and standard cleaning instructions are followed to maintain and raise standards of hygiene.
• Taking a lead role in the daily section huddles to review performance and action boards.
• Getting involved in the writing of SOP’s by recommending edits and updates to the ‘process team’.
• To supporting your section by being ‘hands-on’ the production lines whenever needed to assist with all production tasks as required.
