Things to Shout About

Past, Present and Future

The Past

In the past few years we have received many accolades for both our business and our products including the coveted Grocer Gold Awards for 2 years running, not one but TWO Mendip Business Awards, one for Service Excellence and the second was the top prize, Mendip Business of the Year and a Great Taste Star for our Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake. We were over the moon to be finalists in the IGD ‘Outstanding Small Business of the Year” Category, but to be given an award by one of our customers for our dedication and service, was probably the best of them all. In 2019/20 we launched and re-developed over 40 lines for our customers, driving quality, value and deliciousness on to supermarket shelves and restaurant plates and continuing to show that dedication to quality and innovation is always at the top of our agenda.

The Present

2020 finished up as an exciting year for us, for many reasons! We launched our first ever range in Sainsbury’s; three twin-pack desserts in the Taste the Difference Range – Lemon Posset, Chocolate & Salted Caramel Panna Cotta and the most delicious Vegetarian Panna Cotta in the market (and that is not just our own opinion), there are new lines in Morrison’s, including The Best Tarte au Citron and Millionaire’s Tart, our Cookie Pie in Aldi continues to outsell any other dessert in their range,  Asda have rationalised their range but kept firm favourites including four of ours, Tesco Finest Frozen is flourishing with the Tarte au Citron, Salted Caramel Cheesecake and NEW Marston Foods Triple Choc Cookie Pie, Lidl Deluxe continues to sell well (Crumble Tarts, Tarte au Citron, Millionaires Tart plus more) and we are due to launch a new variant of the Marston Foods Cookies in both Iceland and Heron Foods in February and March respectively. Phew!

Frome Ladies Hockey Club and Harrison Collis, a young and promising BMX eventer, have been benefited from being sponsored by Marston Foods and we look forward to seeing where the future takes them.

Hannah Culff from We Hear You (WHY?) a Frome based charity that has been supported by Marston Foods for the last 4 years says:

We Hear You relies heavily on the local community and without the support of local businesses we would not be able to continue the work that we do supporting adults and children who are affected by cancer and other terminal illnesses in the local area.
