Things to Shout About

Past, Present and Future

The Past

2015/6 saw us win a coveted Grocer Gold Award for the 2nd year running, and we were awarded not one but TWO Mendip Business Awards, one for Service Excellence and the second was the top prize, Mendip Business of the Year. We were over the moon to be finalists in the IGD ‘Outstanding Small Business of the Year” Category, but to be given an award by one of our customers for our dedication and service, was probably the best of them all. And in between making all these fabulous desserts, we as a team raised £18,000 for charity. In 2017 we launched and re-developed over 20 lines for our customers, driving quality, value and deliciousness on to your supermarket shelves. We’ve received 4 product awards so far this year, a Grocer Gold Innovation Award for our Lidl Deluxe Double Decadence, a Great Taste Star and a Q Awards Highly Commended for our Asda Extra Special twin Sicilian Lemon Cheesecake and a Commended for our Asda Extra Special Belgian White Chocolate & Berry Cheesecake.

The Present

Already in 2018 we have won 2 Grocer Own Label Gold Awards. We are on a roll! We have also just launched a Cookie Pie in our own brand in Aldi stores nationwide. It has proved to be an instant hit and our hope is that it will be available all year round.

The Future

And we have big plans for the rest of 2018 and 2019, as we head out into new markets (Christmas is VERY exciting for us this year!) and continue to support our chosen local charities.

Frome Ladies Hockey Club and Harrison Collis, a young and promising BMX eventer, have been sponsored by the business in 2016 and 2017, and we look forward to seeing where the future takes them.

Hannah Culff from We Hear You (WHY?), the business’s chosen charity of the year says “We’re so thrilled that Marston Foods have chosen us as one of their charity partners again for 2017.

We Hear You relies heavily on the local community and without the support of local businesses we would not be able to continue the work that we do supporting adults and children who are affected by cancer and other terminal illnesses in the local area. We are looking forward to working together again and an exciting year ahead.
