PROCESS TECHNOLOGIST

Reporting to the Head of Launch Process and / or Sales & Business Development Manager, the Process Technologist is responsible for the link between the product development kitchen and the production line, ensuring that new products make a smooth transition from trial and testing stages to full production.

The Process Technologist will ensure that trial factory production runs take place within the identified critical path, with the outcomes reported to all relevant staff, identifying any critical issues and making recommendations for improvements. They will measure yields and make sure that everything complies with quality, safety and customer expectations and subsequently look at ongoing process improvements post-launch.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Keen interest in food and food science
  • Ability to prioritise work-load and work to tight deadlines
  • Good personal and communication skills. Must be able to work as a team and as an individual
  • Excellent attention to detail and diverse thinking / problem solving skills

COMMERCIAL ASSISTANT

Working within the Commercial Team, the Commercial Assistant will be responsible for daily contact with customers, processing & discussing orders both via email and over the phone, extracting, analysing and reporting data, supporting the Commercial Account Manager with launches, sales info, market data, customer presentations and all activities involved with customer relationship management. The role will involve cross-departmental involvement and so people skills are a must. Good knowledge of Excel, plus organisational and time-management skills will be required.

Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel and administration skills
  • Excellent time management & attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise work load and work to tight deadlines
  • Good personal and communication skills. Must be able to work as a team and as an individual
  • Be flexible to attend customer visits/meetings and provide absence, sickness & holidays cover where required
  • Previous experience in a commercial environment, ideally working with national retailers, and fresh and frozen products would be beneficial

SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (Senior Management Level)

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Sales & Business Development Manager is at the forefront of the company and is the driver behind the development and implementation of the sales & marketing strategy, product development and customer and cross-departmental relationships. With reporting lines from both Commercial and NPD functions, this role will require someone able to manage many relationships and projects at any one time and drive the ambitious growth plans using insight, experience, drive and collaboration throughout their teams and the wider business.

COMMERCIAL / JUNIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER

Reporting to the Sales & Business Development Manager, the Commercial Account Manager is responsible for managing all customers on a day to day basis including commercial proposals, launches, NPD development and promotions, communicating internally & externally to ensure the smooth running of all such activity. The Commercial Account Manager will be the first point of contact for the buyers at all customers and will make all negotiations and attend meetings as required. They will also supply relevant reports and data as required and attend all required meetings. We will consider all levels of experience for the right candidate as full training can be given, but experience of working with the national retailers within a private label environment would be beneficial.

NIGHT QA / QA TECHNICAL ASSISTANT (4 ON / 4 OFF)

Working as part of the Technical Team, you will be responsible whilst on shift for ensuring that all products produced are manufactured to the required customer specification, and that food safety standards are maintained via HACCP/CCP monitoring, auditing and process auditing, including paperwork audits. You will assist in the monitoring of production to ensure that all hygiene and manufacturing standards comply with Marston Foods policy on a daily basis and as part of this will carry out daily HACCP, Hygiene Glass & Plastic audits, ensuring all quality monitoring equipment is within the required calibration and functioning within specified parameters.

This is a vital role where a keen eye for detail and high standards are essential. Full training can be given for the right candidate, but experience would be preferable.

FACTORY WORKERS, OF ALL TYPES! – As we head into the busiest season of the year, we are looking for doers; people that can come and work with us, roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. Days and Nights available.
